Chris McCarthy, MD, was raised in Fernandina Beach, FL. He graduated from Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, FL, with a bachelor's degree in Biology. He then attended the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa, where he obtained his M.D. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, where he was the Chief Resident. He is board-certified in Family Medicine and has a special interest in preventative care and wilderness medicine.
